Shipping instructions specify which of TVG-Zimsen’s foreign business associates the shipper should contact to arrange transportation of the shipment.

The procedure for consolidated air and sea consignments to Iceland is as follows:

1. The shipper receives shipping instructions regarding the TVG-Zimsen foreign agent and books transportation of the shipment.
2. The agent collects the shipment and delivers it to a warehouse at the appropriate place of loading.
3. All shipments booked for TVG-Zimsen are consolidated.
4. Consolidated cargo is loaded into air- or seafreight containers as appropriate for the next available carrier departure.
5. The consolidated consignment is delivered to TVG-Zimsen’s warehouse in the Warehouse Hotel (Vöruhótelið), Sundabakki, Reykjavík.
6. TVG-Zimsen staff receive the relevant documentation and divide the shipment up.
7. Consignee collects the documentation from TVG-Zimsen and takes delivery of the goods from the Warehouse Hotel (Vöruhótelið).
